PHILADELPHIA – If you thought Jason Kelce would disappear into retirement from the NFL quietly, you’re wrong.
Fans of the Olympics recently saw Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, cheering on Team USA at the Olympic Games in Paris. In a TikTok video, Jason announces he is officially a fan of women’s rugby.
Now, Jason chronicles some of his “regular Dad” moments at home in a new ad from Wawa, a popular Philly convenience store. Wawa posted the ad to Instagram. It debuted Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning, America.”
“He’s just a regular dad now,” Kylie Kelce says in the commercial over a shot of Jason Kelce fumbling Wawa sandwiches while locking a car.
Kylie Kelce highlights other “regular dad” moments, like Jason Kelce doing “football things” as he lifts groceries and “helping around the house” as he stuffs lunchboxes full of pre-packaged sandwiches.
Kylie also appears in the commercial and had a hand in directing the production as honorary creative director.
Her personal insights and knowledge of Wawa’s products from being a consumer herself helped shape the commercial to resonate with families, Wawa said in a news release.

Her voiceover guides us through other “regular dad” moments the ad highlights, like Jason Kelce doing “football things” as he lifts groceries and “helping around the house” as he stuffs lunchboxes full of pre-packaged sandwiches.
“I made dinner,” Jason exclaims as he unwraps a hoagie. “And I did the dishes,” he says, tossing the wrapper in the trash.
Another Instagram post gives us a glimpse of Kylie’s directing.
“I feel you could do better,” she says, coaching her husband in one scene. “More emotion, J, like you mean it!”
Jason Kelce, a Cleveland Heights, Ohio, native, retired from the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles in March following his 13th season of professional football.
He and his famous brother, Jason, a star with the Kansas City Chiefs and boyfriend of Taylor Swift, recently completed their second season of the popular podcast “New Heights.”
Wawa, founded in 1902 as a dairy near Philadelphia, opened its first food mart in the ‘60s. It now has more than 1,000 locations in eight states and the District of Columbia. New stores are planned for half a dozen other states.
