PSG was a guest at Real Sociedad’s field in the second leg of the 1/8 round of the Champions League, the away team won 2-0 in the first leg in Paris. 

Mbappe was placed in the starting lineup by coach Enrique. He played the full 90 minutes and scored a double to bring PSG a 2-1 victory.

In particular, the French striker’s opening goal literally blew up the net. 

In the 15th minute, Ousmane Dembele made a pass along the middle for Mbappe to escape to receive the ball. 

After controlling the rhythm near the left sideline, the PSG captain turned back and finished the ball diagonally to knock down the goalkeeper.

The French player is known as a striker with extremely strong shooting power, but being so strong that he can open the net like Mbappe did against Real Sociedad really rarely happens.

Before PSG’s trip to Reale Arena, a series of conflicting information appeared between Kylian Mbappe and coach Luis Enrique. 

The reason is said to stem from Mbappe’s continued early withdrawal from recent Ligue 1 matches, after the French striker announced he would leave at the end of the season.

The current contract between Mbappe and PSG will end at the end of this season. 

The Paris team tried hard to retain the French player, but the two sides could not reach a common understanding, so Mbappe decided to leave for free.

Despite the contract controversy, Mbappe is showing good form in the current season for PSG, becoming the first player in Europe’s top 5 leagues to directly participate in more than 40 goals in all competitions this season.
