The France captain was reportedly in a relationship with transgender model Ines Rau

But never publicly confirmed they were actually a couple even though people refers to her as Kylian Mbappe Girlfriend.

Mbappe and Ines Rau had been spotted publicly hanging out and displaying their love for each other during the time of their alleged relationship.

The pair even followed each other on Instagram, leading many to conclude that they were indeed an item.

However, several months after their love story begun, Pulse Sports reported that 

Mbappe and Ines Rau had called it quits and even the former Monaco star even unfollowed his transgender girlfriend on Instagram as well.

But why did Mbappe break up with his transgender girlfriend?

Why did Kylian Mbappe and Ines Rau reportedly stop dating?

Pulse Sports previously reported in January, that Mbappe was rumoured to have ended his relationship with Ines Rau.

The report, though, is yet to be confirmed by the player and the model and the exact reason for their rumoured separation is unknown.

What we do know is that Mbappe had constantly received series of backlash from fans and social media over his relationship with the Playboy cover star and transgender model.

Mbappe was reportedly the victim of homophobic abuse coming from a group of Argentina supporters in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar

As Les Blues battled the Albiceleste in a thrilling finale which the latter won to lift the iconic trophy last December.

A report from IBT revealed that some of Argentina fans taunted the France National Team and singled out Kylian Mbappe over his reported relationship with Ines Rau.

“They f*** transvestites like f***ing Mbappe” the group chanted, leading the reporter to take the microphone away and shout in protest. 

The reporter eventually started to wave his hand, saying “censored” before the live broadcast was cut. 

However, because the broadcast was live, the damage had already been done and the clip has been viewed and shared all over the world. 

Although, Argentina, France and Mbappe have yet to react to the incident.

The series of social media criticism that Mbappe has also endured over his relationship with the transgender model is also understood to be part of the reason 

Behind the rumoured split, as it had the potential to harm his commercial and marketing value.

Nevertheless, the real reason behind their separation is still unknown and both parties have since moved on from their rumoured relationship.

Who is Ines Rau?

Ines-Loan Rau is a 33-year-old French model.

 She was Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for November 2017 and the first openly transgender Playmate.

Rau was born in Paris and is of Algerian descent.

She transitioned and underwent gender-affirming surgery (transitioned from boy to a girl) at the age of 16, after being inspired by the life story of English trans model Caroline “Tula” Cossey.

However, she kept her s.e.x.u.a.l.i.t.y hidden from the public until her 24th birthday.

Defining her transition as liberating, the 31-year-old woman stated in her autobiography that she felt like her soul had been set free after the surgery.

Following her coming out, Rau became more active in campaigning for transgender rights.

In 2016, she appeared on the TF1 news format Sept à Huit on an episode that focused on her life as a transgender.

Ines Rau is the first transgender in history to be featured on Playboy magazine’s as the ‘Playmate of the month.’

Currently, she now works as a full-time model and has featured at Paris Fashion Week on numerous occasions.

She also boasts over a million followers on her Instagram page.

Kylian Mbappe and Ines Rau’s relationship

Shortly after calling it quits with actress Emma Smet, it was reported that Kylian Mbappe had entered into a relationship with the famous transgender model Ines Rau

And that the pair had been together for several months.

Mbappe and Ines Rau were spotted for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival, and then later on a yacht where the footballer was seen carrying the supermodel.

However, neither Rau nor Mbappe confirmed nor denied the speculations about their relationship until reports emerged earlier this year that the duo had split.

Kylian Mbappe is now reportedly dating Belgian model Stephanie Rose Bertram, the ex-girlfriend of a former PSG defender Gregory van der Wiel.
