Despite Kylian Mbappe becoming Real Madrid’s new main man, Carlo Ancelotti insists that “nothing will change” for Jude Bellingham and expresses disagreement with people who have attacked his performances for England during the Euros.
Following a practice in Charlotte, where his squad will play Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium, Ancelotti had a conversation with the English media in the United States.
When asked how Bellingham’s job will alter in light of Mbappe, Ancelotti responded, “He changes nothing.” Nothing is altered. He truly astonished everyone in the first season by displaying amazing quality and being a very mature man. The upcoming season won’t be any different.
He will be among our greatest players and provide invaluable help to the club with his skill. Although this is just my view, Bellingham performed admirably at the Euros. England had a great game; they made it to the final and nearly won it.
Real Madrid will have a demanding 2024–25 season, beginning with this preseason tour of the US and concluding with a return to these shores for the Club World Cup the following summer. But Ancelotti claimed he was not concerned about a campaign this long.
Ancelotti, who won the Premier League and FA Cup with the Blues from 2009 to 2011, stated that Chelsea’s new ownership must be patient with Enzo Maresca as the team faces a similarly drawn-out campaign.
About Chelsea, Ancelotti remarked, “It’s changed a lot.” It was a large investment. They have a youthful, talented team with good players. Their manager is a young person. The owners must exercise some patience in order to learn from their mistakes and advance.
Ancelotti, however, has ruled out a move for Chelsea custodian Kepa Arrizabalaga, who returned to London last season on loan from Real Madrid in search of a new team.
“We are covered in that position,” Ancelotti declared. “Kepa had a great season last year.” He was here with us. Although we were thrilled to have him here, I’m not sure what this season will hold. We adore him. We adore him.
