Alert: The NBA community was surprised to see Bronny James listed among the eight lowest-paid basketball players! LeBron’s eldest son is one of the four lowest earners in the rankings!

The NBA often makes headlines because of the huge amounts of money in player contracts.

Many players in the league are among the top earners in the world and have an astounding net worth. Today we will be taking a look into the players whose salaries are unremarkable.

Here are the eight lowest-paid players in the 2024-25 season of the NBA:

8 lowest paid players in the 2024-25 NBA Season

Jaylen Wells, Memphis Grizzlies

Last year’s CCAA Player of the Year, Jaylen Wells entered the 2024 NBA draft seeking to make his dream of becoming an NBA player come true.

The Memphis Grizzlies drafted the former Washington State Cougar as the 39th overall pick in the second round of the draft.

Wells signed a rookie contract with the Grizzlies and according to ESPN, he has a salary of $1,157,153. Wells has yet to make his debut in the league and fans expect to see him play a few minutes at the start of the new season.

Oso Ighodaro, Phoenix Suns

The two-time All-Big East team member, Oso Ighodaro is the next rookie on this list. The former Marquette Golden Eagles talent entered the 2024 NBA draft as a member of the Academic All-American Second Team. The Portland Trail Blazers drafted him as the 40th overall pick in the second round of the draft.

However, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns on the same night. According to ESPN, Ighodaro will earn $1,157,153 at the Suns.

Adem Bona, Philadelphia 76ers

The Turkish-Nigerian talent Adem Bona is the first entry on this list to have experience in professional basketball. Bona played for the Pinar Karsiyaka in the Turkish Basketball Super League. Bona decided to continue his career in the States with Prolific Prep and also played for UCLA.

He entered the 2024 draft as a member of the All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. The Philadelphia 76ers drafted the young talent with the 41st pick. He signed a rookie contract with the team and according to ESPN, he will earn $1,157,153.

Tyler Smith, Milwaukee Bucks

Tyler Smith opted to enter the world of professional basketball early in his life. Instead of pursuing a collegiate career like many other of his colleagues, he opted to play in Overtime Elite, a basketball league for sixteen to twenty-year-olds based in Atlanta.

He had a great career at the league and was named to the All-OTE Second-Team in his second season. Last year, Smith signed up with the NBA G League Ignite and gained more experience before entering the draft.

Although his performance with Ignite helped his stock rise, his struggles in the draft combine and pro workouts lowered demand. The Milwaukee Bucks drafted him as the 33rd overall pick in the second round. According to ESPN, Smith is set to earn $1,157,153 with the Bucks.

Bronny James, Los Angeles Lakers

Arguably the most high-profile name on this list, Bronny James made headlines when the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him as the 55th overall pick in the draft. As LeBron James’ oldest son, Bronny has huge expectations on his shoulders.

Bronny signed a rookie contract with the Lakers and per ESPN, he will earn $1,157,153 in his rookie season with his father’s team.

Cam Christie, Los Angeles Clippers

Born and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Cam Christie entered the 2024 NBA draft as a member of this year’s Big Ten All-Freshman Team. Christie played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers and declared for the draft soon after his freshman year. The Clippers drafted him with the 46th overall pick in the second round.

According to ESPN, he is set to earn $1,157,153 in his rookie contract with the Clippers.

Antonio Reeves, New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans drafted Antonio Reeves as the 47th overall pick in the 2024 draft. The former Kentucky Wildcats talent was named this year’s SEC co-Sixth Man of the Year and also made the All-SEC First Team.

According to ESPN, Reeves is set to earn $1,157,153 with the Pelicans in his rookie year.

Pelle Larsson, Miami Heat

Pelle Larsson, the Houston Rockets’ 44th pick in the second round of the 2024 draft. Larsson played for the Arizona Wildcats and had a good collegiate career. He was named 2022’s Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year and was a member of this year’s All-Pac-12 second team. The Rockets immediately traded him to the Miami Heat on draft night. Per ESPN, Larsson is set to earn $1,157,143 for his rookie contract with the Heat.
