The way Scottie Scheffler silenced his opponent when they tried to m0ck him terrified the viewers (video)

Scheffler is still the talk of the golf world ahead of the Wyndham Championship after he secured an Olympic gold medal in Paris last week.

The American tore round Le Golf National in the final round to pip England’s Tommy Fleetwood by one stroke.

It meant that Scheffler, still on 28 years old, has now won seven times in 2024.

Scheffler fought off a neck injury to claim the coveted Players at TPC Sawgrass in March and added a second green jacket to his wardrobe a month later.

A week after the 2024 Masters, Scheffler kept his foot on the gas by securing the RBC Heritage, won the Memorial a week before the U.S.

Open and captured the Travelers Championship in a playoff before heading to Scotland for the final men’s major of the year where he finished in a tie for seventh.

Earlier this week it was also reported that Scheffler has won the Comcast Business Top 10, meaning that he’ll get an $8,000,000 bonus despite not being in the field this week at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina.

When that comes in he’ll have scooped a whopping $36,148,691 in prize money this year, with two more $20m purse events still to come.

Scheffler will also earn even more ludicrous sums of money via the 2024 Player Impact Program and a FedEx Cup bonus.

So Scheffler has every right to walk around with his nose up in the air, according to Lucas Glover.

“He just shows up, does his job, keeps his head down,” Lucas Glover said when asked what stands out about Scheffler.

“I think it’s very impressive the way he handles himself with all the success. He seems very humble.

“I think that’s pretty cool, especially because he has every right to be the other way.”

Glover added: “He could walk around nose up in the air if he wanted and nobody would care because he’s that good, but he’s not. I think that’s really cool.

“It’s impressive to me to see how he handles himself and how he doesn’t take himself too seriously.”

Scheffler’s next PGA Tour event will be the first leg of FedExCup playoffs.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship will be played over 15-18 August at TPC Southwin in Memphis, Tennessee.
