Maria Sharapova returned to Wimbledon exactly 20 years (to the day) after winning said tournament. 

The Russian star claimed the Grand Slam as a 17-year-old back in 2004, one of the five Grand Slams she won in her career. 

She made a comeback this week, this time as a spectator, but was hardly recognizable as she’s no longer rocking the blonde hair she was known for during her playing days. 

She’s all brunette now, and a photo of her sporting her new look is going viral. 

“20 years to the day since her victory on Centre Court, @MariaSharapova watches on from the Royal Box 🤩 Wonderful to have you with us, Maria 💚,” the Wimbledon account shared to X.

Maria left tennis with 36 WTA title wins, including five majors – Wimbledon (1), Australian Open (1), U.S. Open (1), and French Open (2).
