Startling: Let’s review Angel Reese’s impressive WNBA stats before she wraps up the season with the ROTY award!

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky took on the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces on Saturday.

The Sky’s rookie star delivered a spectacular performance despite losing the game with a final score of 77-75.

Reese was a dominant force on the court going toe to toe with the reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson.

The rookie superstar scored 11 points, collected 22 rebounds and dished out a single assist scripting history in just her debut year in the league.

Reese is now tied with Tina Charles for the most doubles-doubles scored by a rookie in a single season.

Moreover, she scripted a new record becoming the first ever player in WNBA history to record 20 rebounds in three consecutive games.

Angel Reese has already broken the record for the most consecutive double-doubles in a single season. The record was previously held by the WNBA Icon Candace Parker. The Sky rookie is currently leading the league in rebounds, surpassing the previous leader and her opponent, A’ja Wilson, on Saturday.

Reese is averaging 13.6 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game providing incredible value to her team. With this latest achievement, the Sky rookie has made a strong case for winning the Rookie of the Year award. The only player standing in her way is the Indiana Fever rookie star Caitlin Clark.

Clark has been excellent in her game with the Fever and is currently the assists leader of the league this season. She has also broken records this season but Reese’s recent achievement should make her case a bit stronger for now.

Angel Reese becomes victim of A’ja Wilson’s monstrous block

Angel Reese may have scripted history in her latest game against the Las Vegas Aces but A’ja Wilson stole the spotlight from her with a monstrous block. The X (formerly Twitter) handle of the WNBA uploaded the video of the play on their account.

During the second quarter of the Sky vs Aces game with 58 seconds left in the quarter, Chennedy Carter made a great pass to Angel Reese finding her open near the rim. The Sky rookie received the ball and went for a layup but from nowhere the WNBA blocks leader jumped up and rejected the former LSU talent on the board. The block was reminiscent of LeBron James’ infamous block on Andre Iguodala in the 2016 NBA Finals.

Angel Reese was left stunned as the reigning MVP turned over the ball and went into transition. Wilson went on to drop a double-double with 20 points, 18 rebounds and two assists.
