Shocking: Noelle Quinn criticizes Christie Sides’ time-wasting tactics during the Fever vs. Seattle game, calling Christie the dirtiest coach she has ever encountered!

Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides and Seattle Storm coach Noelle Quinn had to be separated as time was winding down in the Fever’s 92-75 win over the Storm on Sunday.

The two met at half-court following a timeout in the fourth quarter and a heated exchange broke out due to Sides leaving in her starters down the final stretch of the game.

After the game, Christie Sides seemingly apologized, shaking hands and hugging with Noelle Quinn.

During the postgame press conferences, Quinn spoke about the exchange:

“I respect Christie a ton, been in this league a for along time, played for her in Russia. We were just having a spirited conversation about gamesmanship. That’s it.”

Christie Sides did not speak about the matter postgame.

The Indiana Fever outscored the Storm 33-16 in the fourth quarter after leading 59-58 entering the final period.

The Fever have won their second-straight game back from an extended All-Star break, looking to climb the standings as the WNBA playoffs approach. Indiana moves to 13-15 on the year, while Seattle falls to 17-10.

Christie Sides defends Caitlin Clark after rookie received technical foul versus Seattle

Amid what would turn into a historic night for Caitlin Clark, the rookie received a technical foul in the third quarter after she slapped the basket stanchion out of frustration.

Caitlin Clark missed a shot on the other end of the court before receiving the tech during a dead-ball break.

Leading up to the technical, Clark had 11 points 4 of 13 from the field. Following the call, she closed out the game going 5 of 6 for 12 points and adding six assists.

The Fever rookie finished with 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds, breaking the WNBA rookie assist record in the third quarter.

After the game, Christie Sides commented on the incident:

“We’re going to have a conversation. I don’t need Caitlin to have to sit out a game. That is definitely going to be a conversation.”

“She’s just a fiery competitor. I mean, I don’t want to take that away from her. That’s the difference in who she is. I’m really proud.”

Caitlin Clark added another record to her already impressive resume as she helped lead her squad to its second-straight win.
