Scottie Scheffler surprises fans by incorporating a humorous scene from ‘The Office’ into a family vlog he posted earlier this week (video)

Scottie Scheffler is gearing up for the 2024 Tour Championship at the East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta, Georgia.

He’ll head into the Tour Championship as the No.1 in the FedExCup standings for the third consecutive year.

Not only will Scheffler look to win his first Tour Championship this year but also his first FedExCup playoff event.

Recently, he referenced a memorable and hilarious scene from the American sitcom, The Office, in his new reel ahead of the tournament. He captioned the reel:

“Atlanta bringing the heat…literally.”

In the reel, Scheffler has included clips from The Office Season 5 episode titled ‘Stress Relief’. In the clips, Michael Scott (Steve Carell’s character) is undergoing CPR training.

The instructor in the episode informs the group that chest compressions should be done on the beat of Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees. Scheffler has also included a few of his golf clips in the reel.

With the caption, the humorous Office scene, and the song, he’s likely referring to remain competitive and to ‘stay alive’ in the final FedExCup playoff in Atlanta. The tournament will be played at the renovated East Lake Golf Club. Talking about the golf course, Scottie Scheffler said in the press conference before the tournament (via ASAP Sports):

“It’s definitely interesting. It’s basically a new golf course from what it was before. It’s not really at all the same. The greens, since they’re new, are extremely firm, which I think makes it more challenging. It’ll be tough to access some of the hole locations. I think we’ll have a bit to learn in terms of golf course setup.”

Scheffler is top of the FedExCup standings with 6,615 points and will start the tournament with a score of 10 under.

How has Scottie Scheffler performed in the FedExCup playoffs?

In the first two playoffs, Scottie Scheffler had a decent performance. Scheffler finished fourth at the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship. He carded 66, 65, 69, and 66 in the four rounds at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. He gained 540 FedEx points for finishing fourth in the tournament.

Scheffler tied for 33rd at the 2024 BMW Championship. He carded 71, 72, 74, and 72 in the four rounds at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado. He gained only 82 FedEx points for his performance at the tournament.

Scottie Scheffler has had six wins on the PGA Tour this year. He has criticized the format of FedExCup playoffs to determine the winner for the whole season. In the pre-tournament press conference before the Tour Championship, he said (via ASAP Sports):

“If you want to just have a player that’s playing the best at the end of the year, I think the Playoffs will definitely identify that player,” Scheffler said.

“In terms of the season-long race, it’s maybe not always going to be the guy that plays the best the whole season; it’s going to be the guy that plays the best in these playoff events. That’s really what you’re identifying is the guy that plays the best in these last three events,” he added.

Scottie Scheffler has won four signature events, one Major at Augusta National Golf Course and the Players Championship this year. In 18 starts, he has had 15 top-10 finishes. Let’s take a look at Scottie Scheffler’s performance in the 2024 season:
