2020 Olympics champion Nelly Korda had a contrasting outing this time, as she struggled to find her rhythm throughout the week.
However, she hasn’t put her shoulders down and remains determined for the future.
On Saturday, August 10, Nelly Korda carded a 3-over 75 to finish at 1-under, placing T22, nine strokes behind Lydia Ko.
This was unlike her performance at the Tokyo Olympics, where she won the gold medal and entered Le Golf National as a favorite.
Following her disappointing outing, Nelly Korda reflected on her performance this week.
“I was aggressive when I could,” she said. “And I played safe when I had to. I mean, I played pretty solid until the last couple holes.
Again I feel like that was the story of my week. Other than that I played some solid golf.”
She said that lately, she had been making one mistake after another, which she needed to get under control.
“I’m never going to stop trying and I’m always going to try my hardest and I’m never going to back down,” she added.
Summing up the week, Korda praised the crowd and was proud of her Olympics campaign.
“I’m a two-time Olympian and I have a Gold Medal and I’m proud of that,” she concluded.
