News: Hank Haney admitted his bias toward Tiger Woods, claiming that his student has the best swings in the world!

Tiger Woods’ former coach, Hank Haney, believes that the 15-time Major champion has the best swing ever. He also acknowledged that his belief might be a bit biased.

Woods and Haney worked together for six years, from 2004 to 2010, which were arguably some of the best years of Woods’ career.

Their partnership helped Woods win 31 titles on the PGA Tour, including six Major championships.

On Tuesday, August 27, Haney reshared a video on X of Tiger Woods’ famous front-nine 28 during the 2007 Tour Championship.

“No one has ever swung the golf club better than this, I admit I’m a little biased,” he wrote.

This was the first Tour Championship that was played under the FedEx Cup.

Woods won the inaugural FedEx Cup by shooting 23-under at East Lake, which is still the tournament record.

Why is Tiger Woods not playing at the Tour Championship?

Tiger Woods is not competing in the Tour Championship this year, as he failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He played only five events this season and made just one cut. This marks the fourth consecutive year he hasn’t participated in the playoffs and the seventh straight year he has missed the Tour Championship.

Woods is one of the best performers in the history of both the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup. He has won the playoffs twice and held the record for the most FedEx Cup wins until 2022. Woods has also won the Tour Championship three times, which is the joint-most alongside Rory McIlroy. Additionally, he has recorded four runner-up finishes in this event.

Woods’ first win at the Tour Championship came in 1999, when he defeated Davis Love III by four strokes. His next victory was in 2007, where he beat Mark Calcavecchia and Zach Johnson by eight strokes. His most recent win was in 2018, where he secured a one-stroke victory over Billy Horschel. Notably, this was his last appearance at East Lake.

Here’s a look at Woods’ performance at the Tour Championship over the years:
