Nelly Korda believes comparing herself and Scottie Scheffler is utterly ridiculous because Tiger Woods is the only one deserving of such comparisons. (video)

While you’re busy deciding between Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele, with Hideki Matsuyama and Tommy Fleetwood not far behind,

Team USA in men’s golf is also experiencing a significant rise in support.

Nelly Korda with the USA women’s golf team joined the crowd at the Paris Olympics, three days ahead of their match.

Le Golf National is currently experiencing some nail-biting golf action. Schauffele holds second place with a total of 199, 16-under-par.

Meanwhile, Spaniard Rahm leads the charge with a total of 199, 17-under-par, after the conclusion of the third round. Scottie Scheffler is tied with a total of 203, 13-under-par.

While the action between Spain and America continues, defending gold medalist Nelly Korda made an appearance to support Team USA.

Now whether she’s early to the course solely to support the men, or whether an underlying motive of scouting the greens exists no one may ever know,

but while she’s there, undoubtedly she’ll be cheering on Scottie Scheffler and the rest of the American team.

Earlier she, Rose Zhang and Lilia Vu even headed to watch the swim team where Katie Ledecky grabbed the gold for the 800m women’s freestyle and Team USA took home the gold for the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay.

Interestingly, it’s not just Korda but also Minjee Lee and Hannah Green too who are at Le Golf National, supporting Jason Day and Min Woo Lee as they represent Australia. Day finished his third round with a total of 204 11-under-par and is currently tied for 10th alongside America’s Wyndham Clark. Meanwhile, Lee is sitting at T21 with 209 7-under-par after the third round.

The crowds at the Olympic golf event exceeded expectations, with over 25,000 spectators on the first day. Korda and green there further undoubtedly only enhance the experience. And if they weren’t enough, The greatest Olympian is also there. And he too is rooting for Scottie Scheffler and Co.

Michael Phelps is at Le Golf National with “Let’s go USA” chants

Michael Phelps first swam at the Olympic games back in Sydney in 2000. Since then, he’s amassed 23 gold medals to his name and is currently the most decorated Olympian. Notably, Phelps also has a special place in his heart for golf and is often seen on the course at celebrity events and pro-ams. The Flying Fish is even friends with big names in the sport like Jon Rahm. However, he’s not rooting for the Spaniard this week.

During the first round of golf at the Olympics @NBCOlympics shared a post on X, featuring Phelps. And in it, it was more than evident that his patriotism trumps friendship! In the video, Phelps was wearing a cap with “USA” written on it and said, “Let’s get this thing rockin’ out here if you are out here I need to hear USA chants.” Soon after he excitedly shouted, “Let’s go USA.”

The final day of the event is currently underway, and the American stars are just a few strokes from the leaders. Can Korda and Phelps rooting for them push them to grab a gold? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
