Nelly Korda and Ludvig Aberg had a d!spute while collaborating with Tumi, despite efforts by the brand to smooth things over, their relationship remains tense, with talk of leg@l action (video)

Travel is obviously a huge part of being a professional golfer, with pros on the road upwards of 30 weeks out of the year—and amateurs following suit with their own golf travel plans.

Recognizing how many golf travelers depend on their Tumi luggage, the brand made a splash in the golf world earlier this year releasing a line of luxury golf travel pieces.

Now it has its sights set on the pros. Tumi has just announced it would be working with Nelly Korda and Ludvig Aberg as their exclusive luggage partners.

Both will carry Tumi luggage and backpacks on tour and in travel.

“There’s a lot of synergy between Tumi as a brand and how I approach my game. … We share the same drive for perfection,” Korda said.

“It’s a partnership that truly feels like the perfect fit.”

Korda’s No. 1 World Ranking and Aberg’s No. 5 spot make them top partners for Tumi’s first global golf ambassador team. The two stars join pro footballer Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris on Tumi’s global ambassador roster as the brand expands its reach in the sports world.

Korda and Aberg will have the opportunities to add even more Tumi-protected hardware to their collections this season, as Tumi was selected to design custom trophy cases for three upcoming events—the Tour Championship for the PGA Tour, and the Solheim Cup and CME Group Tour Championship for the LPGA.

A first for both tours, these trophy cases align with Tumi’s reputation for luxurious, durable and thoughtful design. Each case is meticulously made with aircraft-grade aluminum and the brand’s signature 19 Degree rib detailing—inspired by the popular 19 Degree Aluminum Collection.

Inside the case, velvet lines the base and back wall and mirrors on the side panels elevate the unboxing experience and inspire future viewers to see themselves in possession of the trophy next.

“Millions of travelers around the world choose Tumi to protect what they value most every day,” said Victor Sanz, Tumi Creative Director. “We’re thrilled to bring that renowned strength and design ingenuity to protecting these trophies, which symbolize years of hard work, dedication, and passion from top players in the sport.”
