Mark Immelman made a comparison between Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods during the heated argument between the two, making the dispute even more intense; Rory McIlroy even began to use physical force (video)

Mark Immelman recently compared golf influencer Fat Perez’s swing to that of four-time Major winner Rory McIlroy ahead of this week’s Creator Classic.

The PGA Tour is set to host a nine-hole golf tournament for content creators, with Perez being one of the 16 participants in the event.

The tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28, and ahead of it, 

Mark Immelman took to his X account to compare Fat Perez’s swing to that of Rory McIlroy. He shared a video of Perez and McIlroy.

Interestingly, Perez reacted to the comparison in the comments section, writing:

“Was asked to compare a cheetah to a sloth and navigated it magically – that’s why he’s a pro 🤝@mark_immelman”

The 2024 Creator Classic will begin at 4 PM ET at the East Lake Golf Club. Following this, the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings will tee off at the Tour Championship at the same venue starting Thursday, Aug. 29.

Rory McIlroy will tee off at the Tour Championship. The Northern Irish golfer last competed at the BMW Championship, where he finished tied for 11th. He will enter the Tour Championship ranked sixth in the FedEx Cup standings.

McIlroy is one of the favorites to win the 2024 Tour Championship, with odds of +1800 according to CBS Sports. Scottie Scheffler is the top favorite to win the event, with odds of -110.

Meanwhile, the Creator Classic will feature a stellar field of 16 content creators who will compete in a nine-hole game. The first eight holes will be a gross stroke play game, followed by a playoff between the top four on the leaderboard on the ninth hole.

Alongside Fat Perez, the tournament will also feature Mason Nut, Paige Spiranac, the Bryan Brothers, and Sean Walsh, among others.

Fat Perez’s odds to win the 2024 Creator Classic are set at +5000, according to Bet Carolina, giving him a two percent chance of winning the event. Meanwhile, the Bryan Brothers, Wesley and George, are the favorites to win, with odds of +225 and +450, respectively. Another top contender is Brad Dalke, with odds of +900.
