Bernabeu: “Since I was a kid, I dreamed of playing for Madrid.” Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe was spotted clutching the hands of a model while going through Miami, leading to speculation of his first public relationship.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner fulfilled his ambition of playing for Los Blancos by signing a contract at the Santiago Bernabeu in June, and now the purple patch of his life may include romance, just months after leaving the City of Love by leaving Paris Saint Germain.
According to PageSix.com, the 25-year-old is dating Dani Grace Almeida, and the couple spent time in Florida going bowling at Lucky Strike, eating at Kiki on the River, and partying at the LIV nightclub.
“They were very cozy with their hands on each other’s legs and held hands walking out,” one source told the magazine, confirming claims that the couple was fine with public displays of affection for each other.
Although it is unclear how they met, the young couple has known each other since about April 2024, when Almeida posted an Instagram photo of herself sitting in VIP seats at the Parc de Princes while Mbappe’s PSG played.
Interestingly, she did not rule out a connection between them. When queried by PageSix.com, Almeida responded, “I do not personally wish to comment on our status at this time.”
Their friendship comes after Mbappe went through a terrible UEFA European Championships, where France was eliminated in the semi-finals in Germany by eventual victors Spain.
Mbappe had only scored once in the competition, during which he also injured his nose, marking an odd drop in form after finishing the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a hatrick against Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the final.
Who will Real Madrid play first?
Mbappe will move from Paris to Madrid for the 2024/25 season, swapping Ligue 1 for LaLiga, although his first competitive game with his new team will not be for league points.
Real Madrid’s star striker will be instantly catapulted into the UEFA Super Cup final, where they will face Atalanta, the UEFA Europa League winners, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The game will start at 15:00 ET/12:00 PT.
