Japanese golfer Hideki Matsuyama became the first golfer to sign in at Le Golf National ahead of the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Athletes around the globe are gearing up for the prestigious Olympics this year in Paris.

The men’s golf event is scheduled to take place from August 1 to 4 at Le Golf National.

Ahead of the event, Hideki Matsuyama entered the venue to practice as he prepared to represent his country at the Olympics.

The “Olympics Golf” shared a picture of Hideki Matsuyama signing in at Le Golf National on their X (formerly Twitter), writing:

“First to sign in at Le Golf National, Hideki Matsuyama #OlympicGolf | @TeamJapan.”

Hideki Matsuyama was part of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He played in a seven-man playoff for the bronze medal but fell short of winning a medal for his country, finishing in fourth place.

In 2024, he will return to the Olympics with the hope of winning a medal. He had already begun practicing before the event. Matsuyama shared a picture of himself from the Paris Olympics on his Instagram account.
