Edmonton Oilers superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl’s partners Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins often attend their games. While McDavid and Draisaitl are a fantastic duo on and off the ice, Lauren and Celeste are also great friends.
On Friday, McDavid’s wife Lauren posted a reel with Celeste Desjardins on her Instagram account. They wore matching denim jackets paired with blue jeans in the video.
Lauren and Celeste shared a warm hug while grabbing coffee, possibly during a game day.
In the caption, Lauren Kyle wrote:
“Here’s to another season with my best friend.”
The new season kicked off on a dry note for Edmonton as they seemingly carried their underwhelming preseason performances into the season. Edmonton lost the home opener against the Winnipeg Jets who steamrolled them 6-0 on Thursday.
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl had an eventful summer with their partners
This summer was packed with excitement for Leon Draisaitl, Celeste Desjardins, Connor McDavid, and Lauren Kyle, as the two couples enjoyed memorable trips and special outings together.
In late September, the superstar duo attended the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton. Lauren shared moments from their night at the event, including photos of the exciting Steer Wrestling competition where riders wrestle steers to the ground. She also posted behind-the-scenes glimpses of beautifully saddled horses.
This double date came after another fun outing earlier in the month when the two couples attended a CFL game at Commonwealth Stadium to watch the Edmonton Elks in action.
Throughout the summer, they had big personal events. Draisaitl proposed to Celeste during a romantic trip to Mallorca, Spain, while McDavid and Lauren tied the knot in a beautiful wedding in Muskoka.
Lauren and Celeste also enjoyed a getaway together at the French Riviera where they went venue hunting for Desjardins’ possible wedding location. The two friends took time off to relax and explore the beautiful sights of the Côte d’Azur.
During their stay at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, Celeste shared photos on Instagram of their memorable moments. In one picture, Celeste and Lauren posed on the balcony, with Celeste wearing a chic white blazer and Lauren in a sleeveless yellow dress. They both accessorized with gold earrings, and Celeste showed off her engagement ring.
