Bryson DeChambeau mentioned his upcoming projects and hopes that the PGA Tour will take notice of him, despite his previous harsh statements about the PGA organizers (video)

Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube channel, dedicated to golf tutorials and videos, has surpassed one million subscribers.

This happened after former US President Donald Trump appeared in DeChambeau’s recent video which got a whopping 9.8 million views and added more than 150,000 new followers.

Having reached the milestone, the LIV golfer has shown interest in The Creator Classic.

The nine-hole competition will have a field of 16 golfers.

It will be held on August 28 on the East Lake course before the last FedEx event. The event will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Peacock.

Bryson DeChambeau took to X to say he was expecting an invitation from the PGA Tour’s official board.

“I’m waiting for my invite to the Creator Classic @PGATOUR ,” Bryson DeChambeau wrote.

Bryson DeChambeau won’t be playing at the Tour Championship or any of the FedEx series events, as LIV golfers are barred. Also, the 30-year-old is free from any LIV event commitment during the Tour Championship week, as LIV Golf Greenbrier is scheduled from August 16-18. Thus, the golfer can commit to The Creator Classic if he receives an invitation. The field includes Tyler Toney, Bryan Bros, and more.

How Bryson DeChambeau plans to grow his content creator endeavors

In February, DeChambeau spoke about his strategic plans for growing his content creations on the ‘Fairway to Heaven’ podcast.

“I mean we didn’t just throw it together and hope that it works. Like there been a huge plan for a long period of time since 2020. I brought in some people to try and do some video work for me and things have switched and moved around but eventually, I found somewhat of a formula,” DeChambeau said (at 22:57).

He continued:

“It’s not something that just came about last year and we were having success. I wasn’t posting when I was struggling, it’s strategic. Everything’s pretty strategic because I was trying to figure out my game. The most important thing was figuring out my game. And then once I got to a place, I was like okay I can produce content now. I’ve got more time. I don’t have to worry about that stuff as much.”

The 30-year-old also explained how collaborating with golf influencers helped him grow his channel. In his Break 50 series, DeChambeau collaborated with Paige Spiranac.

In the same interview, DeChambeau said the media saw him differently in 2020. So, to give a peek into his personality and influence budding golfers, he took an extra step to grow his social media fandom.

Bryson DeChambeau last played at the LIV Golf United Kingdom, where he landed in the 11th position. His next stop will be the LIV Golf Greenbrier, a tournament he won last season with a record round of 58.
