Balionis, 38, opened up about the Woods interview when asked about who she’s been most nervous to interview in a chat with Links Magazine.
“Tiger Woods, for sure,” she said.
“When I started with PGATour.com, I think Tiger was my second-ever sit-down interview.
“I’m very thankful the camera angle was from the waist up; my legs were shaking uncontrollably from nervousness.
“I lost a lot of sleep before that interview.”
Balionis first started working as the PGA Tour reporter and host in 2011.
She moved to CBS six years later to cover golf, college football, and the NFL.
Earlier this year, Balionis was speculated to have started dating four-time major champion Rory McIlroy after he filed for divorce from wife Erica Stoll.
McIlroy and Stoll later reconciled, though.
Balionis is now set to return to the football sidelines with the golf season wrapped up.
In the interview with Links, she also mentioned her CBS colleague and the network’s lead play-by-play NFL announcer Jim Nantz as her sportscasting role model.
“Jim Nantz is number one,” Balionis said
“I don’t think he could ever get enough credit for his talent.
“His memory knows no bounds; he recalls things in the moment in the most accurate way from 20 years ago that will put your jaw on the floor.
