Caitlin Clark has officially gone from shattering NCAA records to writing her name in the WNBA history book.
On Saturday afternoon, Clark became the first WNBA rookie to ever record a triple-double. Clark already had 16 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds in the fourth quarter, so all she needed was one more rebound.

To be fair, Clark has been flirting with a triple-double for a while now. It was only a matter of time before she got the job done.
Clark actually set two different records this Saturday. Prior to securing the triple-double, she picked up her fourth double-double with assists. The record was previously owned by WNBA legend Sue Bird.
We’d have to imagine Clark will be asked about setting a couple of WNBA records during her postgame press conference. And if we had to guess, she’ll probably be concerned about the outcome of the game.
That being said, Clark deserves a round of applause for making history this early in her career.
Not only did Caitlin Clark make history with her first rookie triple-double, but she also set a new WNBA record for double-doubles with assists. The Indiana Fever player has been dominating the court and showing that she is a force to be reckoned with.
Clark’s performance on Saturday afternoon was nothing short of spectacular.
