Caitlin Clark has impressed WNBA fans with her stellar play this season.
In addition to leading the league in assists per game, she ranks 10th on the WNBA’s points-per-game leaderboard with 18.0 points per game.
During her game on Monday against the Atlanta Dream, Clark went behind the back to shake a defender while driving to the hoop.
In the background, Steph Curry’s Grammy award-winning friend Lecrae, seated courtside, was caught on camera with a candid reaction.
After Clark drove to her right, she hit a behind-the-back move, shaking her defender and opening the door for a wide-open layup.
After Clark’s defender goes skating off-screen, Lecrae can be seen in a white t-shirt on the sideline reacting in awe.
The rapper’s reaction was caught on video, with fans on X, formerly known as Twitter weighing in. Eventually, the clip went so viral, amassing just over 237,000 views, that it caught the attention of Lecrae himself.
In response to the clip, Lecrae weighed in, writing:
“My reaction to @CaitlinClark22 gettin busy.”

Caitlin Clark’s ankle breaker on Monday against the Atlanta Dream didn’t only produce a viral moment thanks to Lecrae’s reaction. The play also came amid Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell leading the Fever to an 84-79 win over the Dream.
After returning from the WNBA All-Star and Olympic break, Clark and the Fever had a two-game win streak snapped by the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday.
While the team still sits comfortably in seventh place, several games ahead of the eighth-place Chicago Sky, it’s no secret that every game is a must-win ahead of the postseason.
Clark had a massive game on Monday, flirting with a triple-double as she logged 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists on the box score. She played her 21st game of the season with 15+ points and 5+ assists, setting a WNBA record.
The Fever also had big contributions from Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, the latter leading in scoring with 29 points. Meanwhile, Aliyah Boston had a big game with a 14-point 11-rebound double-double.
The Fever are in seventh place in the WNBA, sitting 2.5 games ahead of the eighth-place Chicago Sky. They are 1.5 games behind the sixth-place Phoenix Mercury.
Following Monday’s win over the Atlanta Dream, the team will be back in action on Wednesday to play the Connecticut Sun. Should the current WNBA standings hold, the Sun and the Fever will meet in the first round of the WNBA playoffs.
