Novak Djokovic co-founded the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) with Vasek Pospisil to ease the burden of lower-ranked players dealing with financial and other difficulties on the tour. In a recent interview, Djokovic opened up about one of the major goals of the PTPA.

When the interviewer talked about the interesting situation where Djokovic is helping those players who want to take the food off his plate, the Serb said that while he has plenty of money, lower-ranked players, due to financial difficulties, end up ruining their careers.

Novak Djokovic used to break records one after the other but now he is creating more records, that look almost impossible for other players to break. With 24 Major titles already in his trophy cabinet, not to forget his recent victory at the Paris Olympics, Djokovic still has not lost his appetite for more.

Other than the Olympic gold medal, Djokovic has not yet won another title and is 29-7 on the season. He failed to reach a single final before Wimbledon, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets. Djokovic will now bid for his first Grand Slam of the year at Flushing Meadows.

Following the Olympics, Djokovic skipped two hard court tournaments, in Montreal and Cincinnati, and enters the US Open without match practice on the surface. He will lock horns with unseeded Radu Albot in the opening match on August 26.

Novak Djokovic’s dedication to supporting lower-ranked players through the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) highlights his commitment to the well-being of all athletes on the tour. Despite his own success and financial stability, Djokovic recognizes the struggles that many players face due to financial difficulties. By co-founding the PTPA with Vasek Pospisil, Djokovic is aiming to provide a platform for players to address these challenges and work towards a more equitable tennis environment. As Djokovic continues to break records and set new milestones in the world of tennis, his focus remains on the future of the sport and the next generation of players. With 24 Major titles already to his name, including a recent victory at the Paris Olympics, Djokovic’s hunger for success shows no signs of waning. Despite a few setbacks earlier in the season, Djokovic’s determination and resilience have propelled him to continue striving for greatness.Heading into the US Open, Djokovic faces the challenge of competing without much match practice on the hard court surface. With his opening match against Radu Albot scheduled for August 26, Djokovic will need to quickly find his rhythm and adapt to the conditions to make a strong start in the tournament. As fans eagerly anticipate Djokovic’s performance at Flushing Meadows, the Serb’s journey towards potentially securing another Grand Slam title will undoubtedly be one to watch.Stay updated with us for more insightful updates on tennis, including player news, tournament highlights, and exclusive interviews.
