Urgent: Nike honors Kobe Bryant with an OOH display featuring the phrase “Long time no see”! This gesture has led fans to send thousands of thanks to Nike for this meaningful tribute

Nike – which has a market cap of $126.02 billion (as per Companiesmarketcap) – celebrated the late Kobe Bryant’s birthday week by unveiling a mural.

The Lakers legend’s birthday was on Friday, August 23, followed by Mamba Day on Saturday, bringing with it many memorable moments.

The latest Bryant monument making its way around social media is Nike’s Kobe Bryant 2028 Olympics banner, getting fans excited, with the Olympics set to hit Los Angeles in 2028.

The Nike banner reads, “No Time To Lose” with two pictures of Bryant on each side of the script.

The banner also features Bryant’s signature ‘Sheath’ Nike Logo worked into the LA28 Olympic logo,

designed by Kobe’s wife Vanessa Bryant, with the Nike swoosh below the script.

Bryant and Nike revealed the logo earlier this month, on August 12. The banner is just the latest of a long list of monuments remembering the late NBA Hall of Famer.

Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa teams up with Nike, LA Dodgers to honor late husband

Nike’s latest eye-catching banner isn’t the only gesture honoring Kobe Bryant on his weekend, as Vanessa Bryant had a jam-packed weekend, honoring her late husband in several ways.

First, Vanessa teamed up with the Los Angeles Dodgers for ‘Kobe Bryant Jersey Day’, where Dodger fans received Kobe Bryant baseball jerseys with the ‘Dodgers’ script across the chest.

The jerseys featured Kobe Bryant’s two signature numbers, No. 8 on the front with No. 24 on the back and “KB” patches on the sleeve. Proceeds from the ‘Kobe Bryant Jersey Day’ were also donated to the Mamba & Mambacity Sports Foundation founded by Kobe Bryant.

Bryant’s kids were also involved in the festivities, as Bianka Bryant threw out the ceremonial first pitch, while Capri Bryant made Los Angeles’ signature “It’s time for Dodger baseball” announcement.

Vanessa Bryant also teamed up with Nike, releasing two Nike Air Force 1 Low colorways, one in purple and gold to honor Kobe Bryant with the Lakers’ colors and another with a snakeskin design, paying homage to Kobe’s Mamba Mentality.

The colorways are set to be released around the Holiday season of 2024, with an official release date yet to be revealed.
