Stunning: A’ja Wilson demonstrates the qualities of “the greatest WNBA champion” as she leads the Las Vegas Aces to victory with a buzzer-beater, leaving Angel Reese in disbelief!

After dropping two straight games to the Minnesota Lynx, A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces knew they had to handle their business against the Chicago Sky.

Both teams were hungry for a win after their previous losses, which led to an intense back-and-forth matchup on Sunday. The score was tied until Wilson delivered an electrifying game-winner.

Just when it seemed like the Chicago Sky were out of the game, Chennedy Carter sank two 3-pointers to even the score.

With the contest looking likely to extend into overtime, Aces coach Becky Hammon conjured an excellent in-bounds play to head home with a victory.

During the final possession, Wilson initially had Angel Reese guarding her, but a switch confused the defense, leading to the two-time MVP winning the game 77-75 with a buzzer-beater.

It was a tough shooting night for A’ja Wilson, who went 8-of-28 from the field.

Even with her offensive struggles, Wilson made sure her team didn’t lose their third straight game. She finished with a double-double outing, sinking 20 points (28.6% shooting) and 18 rebounds for the night.

At the 4:36 mark, the Las Vegas Aces held a 13-point lead against the Sky, seemingly in full control of the game. However, Lindsay Allen, Carter and Angel Reese helped their team trim the deficit to just three points.

However, despite the home team’s empowering comeback, the game allowed Las Vegas to showcase their composure amid adversity.

A’ja Wilson criticized the officiating during her halftime interview

During the halftime break, the Aces superstar was asked about the refereeing in the first half. There were instances where Wilson looked frustrated by the lack of calls, despite contact on her drives to the basket.

“Everyone has to do their job,” Wilson said. “It’s from the players, to the refs, to the coaches. I don’t appreciate being looked at and stared at as if you’re trying to intimidate me. If I get fined for this, I am terribly sorry, but it’s ridiculous we have been going through this all season.”

There are games when a team won’t receive balanced officiating, challenging them to power through against the odds. Power through is exactly what A’ja Wilson and the Aces did, as they were able to walk away from Chicago with a hard-fought victory.
