Shocking: Fans have turned their backs on MLB following the decision to award MVP to Marcell Ozuna! They believe that someone who abused women doesn’t deserve this prestigious title, no matter how talented he is!

Marcell Ozuna has played a crucial role for the Atlanta Braves, entering the NL MVP frenzy. However, some fans think he doesn’t deserve to be in talks.

Ozuna was involved in domestic violence with his wife, Genesis Guzman, back in 2021.

Since then, the slugger has had a hard time keeping a good track despite his efforts on the field.

MLB Sportscaster Chris Rose shared a post on social media asking fans if Marcell Ozuna deserves to be in MVP talks.

Some fans agreed that he deserved to be involved but several were against the idea as they only remembered Ozuna for his past violence.

Here’s a look at some of the fan reactions on X.

“They give out MVP’s for beating your wife?” asked one fan.

“Yes!!!! Knocking on Triple Crown. He absolutely deserves to be in and near the top of the NL conversation,” another fan responded.

“If the MVP was decided by being a terrible human being and a disgrace to the league then he’d be a shoe in. But it’s not so no,” another fan wrote.

Comments continued to flow as MLB fans had mixed reactions to the question.

“Most Vicious Punch award? Yeah I’m sure the women would agree,” one fan chipped in.

“If it weren’t for him the Braves would be the Marlins this year,” another fan added.”Absolutely. Especially if the Braves make the playoffs with the amount of injuries they’re had. He has carried the Braves all season,” one fan wrote.Marcell Ozuna competes with Shohei Ohtani for the NL Triple Crown

On the baseball front, Marcell Ozuna is competing with Shohei Ohtani for the NL Triple Crown for the first time since 1937. The Triple Crown is attributed to the hitter who leads the league in batting, home runs, and runs batted in.

Marcell Ozuna is trying to get ahead of Shohei Ohtani with home runs, batting, and runs batted in.

Prior to Wednesday’s games, Ozuna led the National League in hitting (.309) and runs batted in (94), while Ohtani led in home runs (39).

It remains to be seen if either of the two hitters can attain this feat.
