Behind the Wheel: Uncovering Mbappe’s Motives for the Mercedes Garage Tour (video)

Apart from world championships, another thing that Lewis Hamilton has a lot of celebrity friends.

The Mercedes driver’s friend list ranges from pop stars like Justin Bieber to Basketball legends like LeBron James.

One of his newer friends, football legend Kylian Mbappe was spotted at the Spanish Grand Prix as he made his way towards the Mercedes garage, despite having a Ferrari Guest Pass around his neck.

This happened two days after his Paris Saint Germain teammate Neymar attended the Spanish Grand Prix on Friday and met several Formula 1 drivers.

Neymar took pictures with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz and even made a fun video with Alfa Romeo’s Guanyu Zhou.

Neymar was also given the opportunity to sit in Lewis Hamilton’s car as a form of an apology for Hamilton not responding to Neymar at Monaco.

Kylian Mbappe is a guest at Ferrari

While Sky Sports F1 was doing their regular pre-race show, they spotted Kylian Mbappe walking to the Mercedes garage.

He was seen wearing a black and white tee shirt and black shades.

Mbappe had a lot of security around him, preventing the reporters from interviewing him.

However, a Ferrari ID card was spotted around his neck, and ESPN later confirmed that Mbappe was a guest for Ferrari ahead of the race.

This is not the only time when Mbappe has been in the vicinity of Mercedes Star.

The 24-year-old footballer was spotted partying with Lewis Hamilton and Neymar a few days after the Monaco Grand Prix at Travis Scott’s concert at Lilly’s Club in Monaco.

Fans were sent into a frenzy by Kylian Mbappe’s visit

Fans made various comments about the footballer’s visit to the paddock.

One Twitter user explained that Mbappe must be a huge Hamilton fan because he is coming to see Hamilton right after the night he was playing for Paris Saint Germain.

PSG lost the match to Clermont Foot by a scoreline of 3-2.

Another fan commented that Mbappe must visit Madrid now that he is in Spain.

This is due to the rumors that Mbappe might join Real Madrid after their star striker Karim Benzema left the team recently.

Twitter user Monstar did not miss the opportunity to mock Ferrari.

He commented that Mbappe is the fastest thing inside the Ferrari garage.

This comes after a horrendous qualifying session saw Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finish in P19.

Another fan pointed out how everyone is a Lewis Hamilton fan at the end of the day.
