Lionel Messi has accepted Kylian Mbappe as the ‘boss’ at Paris Saint-Germain, former France and Arsenal star Robert Pires believes.

Messi and Mbappe have been combining to devastating for PSG off late after earlier reports of a feud between the two, which was fuelled by that unforgettable World Cup final in Qatar.

The pair have developed a telepathic understanding of each other’s game, yielding to the club’s recent streak of positive results, recording three wins in a row.

According to Pires, who earned 79 caps between 1996 and 2004 for France, the duo’s performance is born out of Messi conceding that Kylian Mbappe is the figurehead of the club.

“From the outside, I have the impression that everyone has evolved and changed their attitude in contact with each other,” he told Le Parisien, as quoted by MARCA.

Regarding the 35-year-old Argentine genius, Pires also said that “having been the king of Barcelona, the Argentine gives the impression of having accepted Kylian Mbappe

As the boss of the pitch in Paris and put himself at his service.

“It’s a mark of intelligence and humility because that’s what makes them win”

In PSG’s most recent outing, the pair helped each other chalk individual milestones as Leo Messi reached 1000 goal contributions

While Mbappe clocked 201 goals to become the club’s record goal scorer, as noted by ESPN.

They would hope to continue on the same tangent when they face Bayern Munich in the reverse fixture of their Champions League playoff on Wednesday, March 8.
