Charley Hull recently played a practice round at Trump Turnberry in preparation for the link course conditions she will face at the Women’s Scottish Open and the AIG Women’s Open.
After that, the Englishwoman stated that the course should return to the major championship rotation.
Charley Hull’s comments have caused quite a stir in the golfing world. Several fans have shared their opinions on social media.
Many users support what Charley Hull said about Turnberry.
Others feel that the course should remain banned from the majors because of its relationship with the former President of the United States, Donald Trump.
One X (formerly Twitter) user posted the following:
“Yes, set petty politics aside. Lots of history at the course.”
Another fan posted the following:
“Best course I have ever played”
Let’s take a look at some other reactions on X:
“Strictly politics keeping one of the best courses on the planet out of the rota, real shame,” one fan posted.”Donald Trump is banned from entering Scotland because he’s a 34-time convicted felon. Not going to happen while he’s involved with Turnberry,” another fan said.
“Yes anyone with a brain agrees. Top track in the world,” another user wrote.”She’s welcome to her opinion, but don’t agree,” another fan posted.
Charley Hull is currently taking part in the Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links. Later this month, she will compete in the AIG Women’s Open at the Old Course at St. Adrews, also in Scotland.
