Charley Hull played at the 2024 Paris Olympics and finished with a 1-over 289. In the opening round, she dropped seven bogeys and one double bogey to finish at 9-over-81.
In the second round, she carded three birdies on the front nine and one birdie on the back nine. The round also saw a bogey and a double bogey as she finished at 71.
In the third round, Hull fired five birdies to finish at 69, and in the last round, she shot five birdies to land at 68.
After the Olympics, Charley Hull stood at T27, an average standing in a 60-player field.
Later, in a press conference, the 28-year-old said the tournament helped her confidence and she would use it to prepare for the Women’s British Open. She said (via ASAP Sports):
“I feel a lot more confident now. I’ve been playing a lot of good golf at home. I think my last four rounds at home, I think I was 24-under par.
So shooting one over the first round, that was more kind of nervous because I haven’t played in five weeks and my shoulder and that. But now I feel like I got my confidence back, and my golf game is as good as it’s ever been.”
Charley Hull also talked about her upcoming golf tournaments in the same interview.
“It’s really important and I’m actually really excited. So I’m playing Turnberry on Monday, and I’m really excited for that. And I have The Scottish Open after that and the AIG Women’s Open the following week. It’s all good,” the English golfer added.
The AIG Women’s Open will start on August 22 and Charley Hull will play in the Major.
