Caleb Williams gave Chicago Bears fans a preview of what’s to come in his debut for the team on Saturday.
The rookie quarterback, the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, started for the Bears against the Buffalo Bills in preseason and went 4/7 for 95 yards in a fixture which Chicago led 19-6 in the fourth quarter at the time of writing.
The former USC star made some impressive plays, including a cheeky flip to running back D’Andre Swift, who ran for 47 yards on the play.

Given the hype surrounding the new Bears star, his pass had fans saying all sorts of things on social media.
“That was an amazing throw ngl,” one wrote.
“we’re watching baseball,” said another.
“Absolutely insane velocity on the move,” someone else pointed out.
“Ball was behind him,” another observed.
“The arm talent is undeniable,” one comment read.

Caleb Williams Didn’t have A Perfect Debut
The Chicago Bears gave all their QBs a run on the day, with Tyson Bagent, Brett Rypien, and Austin Reed all featuring.
But there’s no doubt as to who’s going to be their starter next season.
Caleb Williams’ debut wasn’t perfect, as he made a few mistakes and threw a near interception on a third down that was eventually saved by an illegal contact penalty. But that is to be expected during his early days.
Overall, it’s been so far, so good for the 2022 Heisman.
