Spiranac also highlighted the perception that golf is old-fashioned and unwelcoming, suggesting alternative broadcasting streams and other ideas to showcase the fun side of the sport.

She specifically mentioned the issue of athletes not being allowed to wear shorts, citing Lucas Glover’s struggle with “swamp a**” during the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship as an example. While there are supporters of Spiranac’s views, there are still many who prefer the traditional aspects of the sport.
