Norwegian tennis player Casper Ruud urgently needed tickets for the Olympics men’s golf event,
but the website wasn’t working. However, officials came to the rescue and provided him with tickets.
On Thursday, August 1, Ruud lost to Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime 4-6, 7(8)-6,
3-6 in the quarterfinals of the Olympic tennis singles event. He has a 40-12 record this season and has clinched two titles so far.
Following his defeat, Ruud posted on X, requesting tickets for the second round of the Olympic men’s golf event. He wrote:
“Hey @Olympics would it be possible to have 3 tickets for the golf event tomorrow?🙏 The athletes website for ticketing is down..Thank you in advance! #Paris2024”
Olympic Golf’s official handle was quick to respond to Ruud’s request.
Ruud also informed his fans that the matter was resolved.
“All sorted let’s gooooo🏌🏼♂️🏌🏼♂️”, he wrote in a follow-up tweet.
Besides being an incredible tennis player, Ruud is a huge golf fan who regularly plays the game. He also has an alternate Instagram account dedicated only to golf. He often posts his golf-playing videos on that account.
