“How dare you wear something like that for the prestigious sport of golf?”
To that, Paige replied:
“You mean the game where you hit a little way ball with a stick into a hole…it’s not that serious.”
This wasn’t the first time Paige Spiranac stood up for her choice of fashion. Last year, she said on the Key Adams show that her dressing gave her confidence.
“It’s just how I feel best. I’ve always dressed this way. I like being sexy – it’s when I’m most confident. There are definitely times I play it up on social media. It’s my body, it’s my choice, and I can choose what I want to wear,” Paige said.
She also mentioned that her passion for golf had no relation to her dressing. Therefore, she could wear anything she felt comfortable in.
Currently, Spiranac’s engaging posts on different social media platforms have led to quite a large number of online fans following her. She has about 4 million followers on Instagram and 1 million followers on Twitter. Apart from that, she’s also active on TikTok and her fan page, which is called OnlyPaige.

Paige Spiranac has shared earlier that was a gymnast at an early age and she thus came to like spandex clothing. Therefore, she preferred those clothes over other outfits.
I was a gymnast before I switched into golf, and so I was so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that’s just what you wear when you’re wearing a leotard and you’re competing,” Spiranac said.
Also, there’s another reason why Spiranac would go out playing in a pair of leggings and a tank top. According to her, she didn’t have enough money to afford golf attire, so she wore whatever she could find in her closet. When Spiranac began her career as a golfer, she wasn’t financially stable and therefore she didn’t have a choice to choose luxury.
Spiranac has stood up for her fashion and attire choices when faced with comments and criticism for them. Also, it was not only herself whom she has defended, when it comes to attire. In 2023, Phil Mickelson criticized Sam Ryder’s outfit at the Farmers Insurance Open and Spiranac responded to Mickelson’s remarks on her Playing a Round podcast, saying “I thought he looked good”.
